[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]So as some of you may have heard through the grape vine, us Rocks were lucky enough to be whisked away to Ibiza earlier this month courtesy of our amazing managing director Laura (the legend) Middleton.
Yes you read that right. Our boss arranged for us all to enjoy a three day holiday in IBIZA. And of course us Rocks wouldn’t be staying in any old hotel. We were living the dream in the new Sol House Hotel mixed by Ibiza Rocks. Accommodation fit for a king, just take a look at that infinity pool on the terrace!
The trip was offered to us as a token of appreciation for all of our hard work throughout the year, and what a token it was! Yes us rocks play hard, but we work even harder contrary to popular belief. You can’t even begin to imagine how high the morale in the office was in the
weeks months leading up to the 3rd September. Some would argue Tinie Tempah’s ‘Miami to Ibiza’ was played maybe one too many times in the office.
The weekend was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Nothing could hold us back, not even a 5amstart to catch our flight. Look how ecstatic we were you’d think we’d never left the North East before.
It’s safe to say we all had the time of our lives, and it’s not a weekend any of us will be forgetting in a hurry. Although there may be parts some of us wish they could! (No names mentioned here).[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”667″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center”][vc_single_image image=”921″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”671″ img_size=”500×400″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Holiday Highlights:
Cruising round the White Isle on a speed boat has to be at the top of the highlights list. Not only did we get to jump off cliffs, snorkel in the clear blue sea and take in the beautiful scenery whilst drinking sangria, we also got a glimpse of Naomi Campbell’s house. Now how’s that for a claim to fame? I think variety was one of the main qualities making Ibiza such an ideal location for our team. It really does have something
to offer everyone. The experience could be whatever we wanted it to be. And it just so happens we all wanted it to be amazing.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The island is renowned for its super clubs and nightlife. And now we know why. Where else can you get away with covering yourself in glitter and dancing the night away in one of the world’s largest night clubs? If you’re thinking of visiting the party island yourself then get yourselves to Glitterbox on a Friday night in Hi Ibiza! You won’t regret it. But keep an open mind is all I’ll say! It won’t be quite like anything you’ve ever experienced before. Ever.
We’d already been pre-warned that It’s practically illegal to go to Ibiza without watching at least ONE sunset at Mambos. I could lie and tell you all it was a life changing experience, but the truth is we missed it. We were too caught up in our all inclusive food so we didn’t quite catch the sunset at Mambos as planned. However, we still rocked up and soaked up the atmosphere on the beach.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”675″ img_size=”medium”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]We watched the sunset from the water taxi instead which was just as beautiful in my opinion.
Some of us hit the West End strip on the last night too. There’s a lot I could say about that night on the strip. If only that strip could talk …. the stories it would tell!
I think I’m speaking on behalf of the full team when I say this was the best team building experience money could ever have bought. And yes the rumours are true, colleagues who rave together really do stay together.
My last bit of advice for those of you who’ve managed to get your employer to whisk you away to Ibiza, would be to visit the Ibiza Rocks bar & restaurant! Nothing can cure a hangover quite like an Ibiza Rocks chicken pitta! The food in there is absolutely amazing.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Here are a few cheeky snaps of our hotel and various sunsets. Because if there’s one thing people can’t get enough of in Ibiza, It’s the sunsets.
Definitely take a look at the Sol House Hotel if you get chance. It has to be the most Instagrammed hotel of the summer. I can honestly say it was one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in. Sea views for days! And the food was beautiful too. We were staying in San Antonio Bay which was a quieter part of Ibiza, but only a 5 minute water taxi across to San Antonio amongst all of the bars and nightlife so it really was the perfect location for us. The pictures really don’t do it justice. The only worry we had each day was trying to decide which pool to chill by. The beach side pool or the roof top infinity? It was a hard life as you can imagine and it definitely came alive at night with DJs and entertainment.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”929″ img_size=”large”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We’d like to give a special thanks to Lizzie over at travel counsellors for helping Laura organise the full weekend, and what a fab job she did! If anybody else is planning a company trip away we’d definitely recommend getting in touch with them as they really do take ALL the stress out of holiday planning. All that was really left to do was for us to turn up at the airport in time. Everything else was already in check thanks to Lizzie making life extremely easy for us all.
I wish I could tell you all it was difficult coming back to reality going straight into work on Monday morning, but the unlimited Domino’s pizza really took care of that for us.
If you don’t already follow our Facebook page, you’ll find more of our Ibiza pictures over there. You’ll also find them littered all over our Instagram. Not that we’re rubbing it in anybody’s faces or anything. Same again next year Laura?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
