There are a number of different techniques bloggers use to help them earn a crust from their blogs. It would be a good starting point for you to do some extensive research into the world of monetised blogging to make sure there’s a niche for your blog. And remember, don’t be shy with your content, be proud! Share it everywhere, share it on your social media channels, share it in blogging groups, share it everywhere you possibly can. This is the best way to grow your audience. And the bigger your audience, the more money you are likely to make.
Get paid from Ads.
Adsense is a plug in that can be added to your blog. Setting up an Adsense account is one of the most common ways to begin making money from your website. In order to get AdSense accepted onto your website there are a few checks you can do. Firstly ensure your website is clean and professional looking. Secondly, have at LEAST ten well written and detailed blogs already on your site before applying. And finally try and use as many of your own images on your blog as you can where possible. There are lots of free images you can use on websites like Pixabay too.
It works by providing a HTML code for you to insert into your blog post which will show up to the reader as a little ad when they land on your page. You’ll then get commission for every reader that clicks onto it. Simple!
Get paid to promote products or services on your blog.
Getting paid to use your favourite products? Now isn’t this just the dream? Yes you really can get paid to use and feature products on your website! Here’s how I would suggest you do it. If there are any particular services or products out there that you think compliment your blog particularly well, or things you think your audience would be especially interested in. You can pitch to the company you are writing about and they may send you out freebies to use! Who doesn’t love a freebie? And even better, they may even pay you if you choose to review for them again following the success of your first blog post.
Use affiliate links.
You can even start to add some affiliate links in your posts to monetise further. For example, say if you are writing a blog post called ‘Christmas Gift Guide’ use affiliate programs (e,g Amazon affiliate programme, Webgains or Affiliate Window) to link to the products within the post. This way you’ll make commission from any sales that are made from your website visitors. For more information on this, read our Guide To Affiliate marketing here.
